FLINT, ALL CLEAR

MAY 20-21, 2025

“Trust is built in drops and lost in buckets." - Kevin Plank

The EPA officially lifted the Flint water emergency on Monday, declaring the water safe after nine long years. I visited Flint twice this week to see for myself.

Residents remain deeply skeptical. The fear and frustration haven’t faded. Some still grapple with long-term illness. Many still use bottled water. Not one resident has seen a cent of the $626M settlement approved in 2021. The poverty rate persists at 34.4%. Flint may be declared clean, but the stubborn stain remains.
